The Strawbridge
Art League is open to anyone who wishes to belong regardless
of race, creed, color, or artistic accomplishment. The
desire of this organization is to provide an environment
for the visual arts here in Brevard County similar to
that in the "Torpedo Factory" in Alexandria,
Virginia. In time the "Doc Strawbridge" building
in the Henegar Center Complex will house studio galleries
for professional artists who will be able to work there
daily as well as display their art in an elegant retail
setting.
In addition, the
Strawbridge Art League itself will endeavor to continue
traditions now set within the visual arts community here:
these include annual Juried Exhibitions, annual Student
Shows, monthly meetings and demonstrations, a monthly
newsletter, etc... What this organization provides and
becomes is very much dependent on you as a member.
