Entry:

Take in will be held January 20, 2007 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Strawbridge Art League located in the Henegar Center for the Arts in downtown Melbourne.

Members 18 years of age or older may submit up to three entries. For each entry, complete the required entry labels and secure to the back of your piece. Entry fees are $25 for the first submission and $10 per piece for the second and third. Make checks payable to The Strawbridge Art League.

Due to government grants, community standards for family viewing apply. 2D size limitation is 60 inches by 60 inches. 3D submissions must be easily portable by two persons.

Unaccepted works must be picked up at the Henegar Center on Monday, January 28, 2007 between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Accepted works must be picked up at the Henegar Center on Monday, March 10, 2007 2-4 pm.

Entry constitutes an agreement that The Strawbridge Art League may reproduce the image of accepted works for promotion of this show.


John Wilton

A senior professor and former Chair of the Visual Arts Department at Daytona Beach College. John is a mixed medai artist who has participated in over 80 group and 30 solo shows, winningnumerous awards along the way. He has curated and judged a numer of shows throughout Central Florida. His work can currently be seen at:

Awards

The February competition will award $500 to the artist who receives the juror's Best Of Show recognition. Awards will be announced during the exhibition's opening reception. A catalogue will also be produced representing the artwork selected for the exhibition, featuring the following awards:

•$500 Best of Show
•a number of other awards

Membership:

League membership is a requirement for entry. The Strawbridge Art League is open to anyone who wishes to belong regardless of race, creed, color, or artistic accomplishment.

The Strawbridge Art League is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the active visual arts community on the Space Coast. Membership provides you monthly gatherings, demonstrations, and 11 newsletters annually.

Adult annual Dues are $50 with membership running from fiscal year July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007.
